The instrument Arumukhanam invented by Vidwan Gopakumar has many medicinal values. It can cure the pain in joints, back pain, body pain, reduces mental stress, tension. Playing this instrument, our right brain and left brain work simultaneously. Apart from this he is doing a rhythm therapy with this instrument in the Saday, School for Special needs.
Conducted a 10 days FREE ARUMUKHANAM WORKSHOP with Chennai Fine Arts, Chennai & Puduvai Sangeetha Laya Shruthi Organization, Puducherry with the Participation of 104 students from 06-05-2010 to 15-05-2010 at Kurinji Nagar Manamagizh mandram, Lawspet, Puducherry. Another 10 days free arumukhanam workshop was conducted in the year 2011 with Chennai fine arts at Kurinji nagar manamagizh mandram, Lawspet, Puducherry.
Motivated by his disciples and choreographed to perform Arumukhanam at Puduvai Tamil Sangam, titled “Sweet, elegant drum beats of percussion instruments”.
Seven days Arumukhanam workshop was conducted in the year 2012 with Chennai fine arts under the concept of Visesha vadyanubhava at Puduvai tamil sangam, venkata nagar, puducherry.
Worked as a resource person and performed a Music Concert in the “CULTURAL UNITY DAY” celebration on 23rd November 2012, towards the National Integration Week, held at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Kathirkamam, Puducherry, conducted by CCRT.
Concert is given on the occasion of 25th year celebration of Bharathiar Palkalai Koodam, titled “Laya Sancharam” with students. Live demo is given in the Sharana, social and welfare organization.
